Tomorrow we leave for Maryville University for our first meet! Baby Smaug is almost ready for his grand debut.
The phone has a mount on the side of the robot. There is siding on the robot, making it look sleek.

We have only one week until our first competition in St. Louis, MO! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
We are working furiously to finish our final touches to our program, robot, and our notebook. We are getting close to our first competition; therefore, we have a To Do List going on. It is mainly coding and building, but there is also things to do in our Notebook. We put down the foam for the rest of the half-field that we have set up.
Our coders are currently working on our Tele-Op code. They are working their magic to get our robot ready for our first meet. We are doing our last preparations for Super Regional. We have one more meeting before we leave on Wednesday to Athens, Georgia. It will be a three day competition, with the alliance picking and awards on the last day.
I would like to apologize for not updating before this.
We went to the Semo Qualifier this last Saturday. We won all but one of our matches. The first five matches went well besides one glitch in our autonomous program in our fifth match. We were in second place, meaning that we got to be the second alliance captain. For our alliance partners, we picked; 406, Richard's Fine Men, and 3665, the Leopold Gearheads. We won our first match against the third alliance. Then they won the next match. We played three more matches. Once more against the third alliance, and two more times against the first alliance. At the Qualifier we also won two awards. The Winning Alliance Award and the Think Award, for our Notebook. We won the Winning Alliance Award with Richard's Fine Men and the Leopold Gearheads, though we were the only team to advance from this award. Our next competition will be in roughly three weeks in Rolla, Missouri. We are printing out our Notebook today. So exciting! Balrog 2.0 has an autonomous program for two of the four spots on the field.
We will be competing at Show Me Center starting at around noon on January 27, or this Saturday. Ok, so over this last weekend we were going to have a meet, but due to the icy weather it was cancelled. We are currently at 16 QP(qualifier points). That puts us at fifth place in our bracket. This puts us in a good position to advancing to the Meets' Qualifier.
Our next competition is the Southeast Missouri Qualifier. Here is a video of our first match from Robofest. Hope you enjoy! |
